The Giro mechanics took the wheel off and beat it back into shape with a lead mallet! It was near perfect and good enough to use for Tony to complete the event. The point is this : the aluminum of the SIP tubeless wheel rims is that good that it was possible to re-shape it with a lead mallet and it didn''t crack. Well done SIP!
